The online images simply don't do justice to the timeless beauty of Waterloo Village—a true hidden gem nestled in Stanhope, NJ. Choosing a venue close to home was paramount for our families, and our excitement to host our wedding at Waterloo Village, with the culinary expertise of JAM Catering, worked out perfectly.
Their farm-to-table menu offers exquisite flavors and quality ingredients. Booking Waterloo without prior experience of their catering proved to be a delightful surprise. Their extensive range of menu options, cake flavors, and hors d'oeuvres can cater to everyone's taste. We were so enamored by the cake flavors that deciding was a challenge, but Waterloo graciously allowed us to opt for cupcakes at no extra charge, ensuring our guests could savor every delightful option. And despite the common adage that couples don't have time to eat at their own wedding, we're confident we'll be indulging and enjoying midnight snacks from the care package provided post-celebration.
From the rustic tables to the charming card box and ceremony chairs, every aspect creates a picturesque setting while making it less stressful to plan for an unforgettable celebration.
From our initial inquiries to the tasting session, the professionalism and responsiveness of Jam Catering coordinators and staff have been exemplary. Their attentiveness and friendly demeanor have instilled us with confidence that our special day is in the most capable hands.
Waterloo Village embodies everything we envisioned for our wedding day: delectable cuisine, comprehensive amenities, unforgettable experiences, an picturesque surroundings. We are eagerly anticipating our wedding in such a...
Read moreHad an INCREDIBLE Group Tasting yesterday afternoon that made me even more sure that this is where I want to get married!
For cocktail hour, highlights included the Korean Barbecue, Paella, and BBQ in a Jar with Pulled Pork AND Jackfruit (a great veg. option that pairs so well with the cornbread and sauces). But perhaps the best cocktail hour station was the Grilled Tomahawk Steak, manned by the delightful Jeffrey A. Miller (JAM!) himself.
The actual cocktails were great as well—I especially liked the "Hoppy Honey" which mixed ipa beer, gin, apple cider, honey syrup, and bitters!
The entrees we were served were just as exciting, with the Salmon Croquette, Yuzu Glazed Chicken, and Guinness Braised Beef Short Ribs standing out above all else (plus a special shoutout to the Whipped Celeriac, which was a delicious spin on a traditional mashed potatoes).
For dessert, everything was amazing, but the Mini Bananas Foster and "Mini Milkshakes for Grownups" (appropriately laced with booze) were our table's favorites.
And just when you thought it was over... PARTY FAVORS! Went home with some addicting Rosemary Caramel Popcorn (literally ate the whole bag so fast) as well as some S'mores and Macarons.
Thanks again to Jeffrey A. Miller and the entire JAM/Waterloo Village staff for a spectacular group tasting! Can't wait for...
Read moreMy fiancé and I are getting married on June 1, 2024 at Curtis Arboretum and we couldn’t be more excited for our wedding day! The venue’s exclusive caterer, Jeffrey A. Miller, is fantastic. We recently had our group menu tasting with JAM, which was held in Bellevue Hall in Delaware (another JAM venue). The tasting exceeded every one of our expectations. There was SO much food and it was all absolutely fresh and delicious. We started off with cocktail hour before moving on to a plated tasting of the appetizer course, then we had several courses of the vegetarian, fish, chicken, and beef dishes, before moving on to cake tasting and dessert. For the cake tasting, we were blown away when the staff presented us with 6 mini cakes to try – they were absolutely adorable! We also met Jeffrey A Miller himself, who was working one of the cocktail hour stations. He was delightful and so interested in learning everyone’s story and where they were getting married, that it definitely further elevated the experience. Our parents can’t stop raving about the event. We can’t wait for our wedding and we’re confident that our guests will love the JAM food as...
