Here we have a wonderful example of a historic covered span in an absolutely idyllic location. Built in 1859, this King post Burr Truss bridge straddles the Conestoga River on the grounds of the equally historic Poole Forge site. She has interior gates to close her off to traffic at dusk, and many a name or lovers' mark carved into her trusswork. I'm not sure why there were two ladders hanging from her roof.
