Parking is available at no cost (at least, when I went, 8/20/2023). Staff are very friendly. There's an entrance fee of about $5 or $8. You can walk a few nature trails here. I believe I explored the entire grounds, but I might be wrong. I hope not. Nonetheless, I had a great time.
Along the trails, you will find sculptures, luscious fruit trees, beautiful flowers, a running stream of water, bridges, etc. I'll admit I'm not the best at taking pictures. Pictures are just my way of revisiting the still image, closing my eyes, and envisioning/ feeling exactly what I saw/felt at that moment being present there. 🥰😍 There just so happened to be a car showcase that day, so I took pictures of my faves.
Definitely wear sneakers, and I recommend long loose pants to stay cool. You'll work up a bit of a sweat walking the trails, but nothing too strenuous. While exploring, calló un aguacero😍 I just got under one of those beautiful 🌳 for shelter from the storm. Once it passed, I emerged from its shelter dry and kept it moving. It took me about 2 - 2.5 hours to explore. You'll come across other friendly explorers, mostly accompanied by their families. There is a bathroom near the entrance. Make sure to use it and stay hydrated.
Happy venturing, frinds!...
Read moreWhat a beautiful place !! This is a combination of a botanic garden, nursery and park all mixed and combined. They have also a restaurant and to make it even more interesting it is located by an old sugar processing plant on the times when sugar canes were planted in that area. There is a little lake ( I believe is man made) and like it seems like a watter stream (not sure if part of a river or something small but it almost dry when we visited. There are reptiles (iguanas and gallinas de palo), some of them quite big but harmless all over, but especially by the lake. You can rent some boats by the lake or just sit by the side walk. Green is eternal here and the grass is beautiful and well kept. They have all kind of plants and trees planted on different paths. This is really a day stay. You won't regret it. You walk, sit, observe, and enjoy. You can also visit the nursery where they have different plants and trees in different stages of development. Everything is tagged and described. The location is central and very easy to reach on the north of the island. Hope you visit and enjoy if you visit PR. Don't just stay at San Juan, when there is so many beautiful places to visit...
Read moreWent here with my family Halloween night for the Soul Screams Halloween event. It was a fun time even though it was raining. I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for something fun to do during the Halloween season. Couldn’t use the camera once inside, but while walking in line and waiting to get in we were able to. They had a stage set up where they kept us entertained with music and little dance off competitions. They did a pretty good job keeping us engaged throughout the wait, some of the characters walked through the line and chatted w you and even posed for pictures and videos. Thank you team Soul Screams. I forget how many houses they had but I believe it was between 6 and 8. So...
