I have very mixed opinions of Backroad Vines. The scenery is very nice, off the main road so quite and relaxing. The wines are very good especialy thier "Cross Roads". The thing that was disappointing was the tasting process. At the time we were there, it was via a machine. You put in a "debit" card that they give you and it's charges as you go. The fees were a bit pricey for Susuin valley at $2.00 per taste which was only a few sips. $12.00 for a glass. I've alwasy thought, you get about 4 glasses per bottle but a I think they're getting at least 6 glasses per bottle. We had a tasting scheduled and planned to eat lunch at a different place. However, Kerensa made sure we knew how incredible Christian was in the kitchen. So we made a day of it and had lunch on site as well. I wanted to lick the plate after we completely devoured our selections. Christians combinations of flavors had the both of us in heaven.
