Bass Lake Regional Park — Attraction in California

Awesome spot to fish now that it's open to the public. It would be nice to see the community come together to get some docks built out there for the kids, and possibly get some trout stocked in the pond also, as they do in Mather lake and Rancho seco. Only bad part is you can't float the pond. Maybe they can figure out a dock and some paddle boats also, to generate revenue for the parks upkeep, and make it possible to reach the good fishing way out in the middle of the pond. The park alone will bring people to the area to eat and get gas. Fishing is a major bonus. I've worked in thousands of houses around the area, and always dreamed of fishing that water! As others before me have said, this place is great! I wouldn’t recommend fishing here because nobody is keeping Bass Lake stocked with Trout or Bass. Walking around the lake is pretty nice now that they’ve opened that part to the public. Overall nice place! Just wait a little while before you go fishing or it’ll deplete the fish population in the lake. Fellow fishers, Catch and release only!

This is a park in development. The lake is full this year with abundant wildlife and flowers. Trails are dirt but being graveled and made more permanent.
