This is our New place to camp. Just over an hour from our Lancaster California home, Brite Lake is a small piece of paradise. Trout fishing 🎣 is great from February to July. August and September are Very warm and the water temperature is very high to sustain the Trout, so they stay in the deep areas and do not feed much. However, Crappie and Largemouth Bass do ok in certain areas in the early 🌄 and just before sunset 🌇. We are tent campers, and have our favorite site. The restrooms 🚻 are clean and the showers 🚿 work well and have hot water. We have family that live in Tehachapi, so our children bring the grandchildren for a day of fishing, a nice camp cooked meal, and hot dogs, smores, and hot chocolate by the campfire. Even though it's close to everything Tehachapi has to offer, the area also make you feel as you are miles away from everything. Hawks, Rabbits 🐇, Squirrels, Deer, Elk, Ducks, Cows 🐄, and even a Skunk or two, and on the Rare Occasion, a Black Bear🐻, Mountain Lion or Bobcat, Make this a beautiful place to spend a couple of nights 🌙 to reset from the daily grind. Looking forward to seeing how it is in the winter. Late November, through late February. Brite Lake. A place to reset when life wears you down. John and...

We pulled in and placed in space 5. Knee high weeds, when we spoke to someone at reservation time were told 50 amp available. It is only 30amp.

Okay, so after a conversation with Taylor(office specialist) she had maintenance come by next day and mow and clean site. GREAT! Nice guys.

Well it started to heat up and we turned on 1 air conditioner and voltage dropped and shut down power. We called front desk again and they came out and changed breaker. Didn’t help. Walked over to a neighbor in a class A also asked if having any trouble they said no and running two air conditioners and no problems. Called office again and they said basically not their problem. We originally paid for 2 weeks. Stayed 2 nights and pulled out. They refunded only 1 week and 2 days.

Taylor very argumentative. Needs to have some work taken off her plate since she seems overworked. They called her on her day off! Never again and would never recommend. Can’t swim in...

Stayed here last nights with a small group of coworkers. It was great! The camp host(s) are amazing. Answered all my questions on the phone, promptly checked in with us at 6:30pm after day use was over (and informed us that fishing is included when you pay for tent camping!) and even went as far as to check up on our second campsite and asked the neighboring campers to move as they were spreading out into our space. They did a lot of patrolling in the evening to keep everything under control. Overall felt very safe and comfortable here. And it’s so close to Bakersfield that we might make it our new go-to spot with the Le high mountain bike trails being only a 16 minute drive away. Highly recommend for campers of all kinds. It is very nice to be able to drive up to your spot, and have tables and fire rings already set up. And the faces carved into the trees...

Quiet little spot to have an overnight getaway 45 minutes from Bakersfield for under $20. Super romantic at night with all the starts, fishing is good, trout, bass. Mosquitos at dusk, ducks diving for fish, restrooms were fresh, clean, and always stocked. The staff there are so down to earth and friendly, you can tell they just love their job. So many cool carvings on the trees so keep your eyes open. Middle of the week is best for quiet fishing or romantic getaway, we had no one else around as far as we could see. Weekend with the kids, there is a playground, more people so not as private.

Stayed in our 35' Class A RV here. Full hook up available!! 30 amp, water, and sewer connection. Stayed for a week. Kids enjoyed the nearby playground and lots of nature trails to enjoy (easy to moderate level)! Beautiful view of the lake and hillside. Also plenty of wild life, including a herd of cows grazing nearby, donkeys, deer, quail, ducks, and a variety of birds!! Beautiful view of the starry filled sky!! Very peaceful and quiet!!

A little windy this time which was to be expected. Normally the restrooms are very well taken care of, which is something that I compliment. This time however, it seems that the restrooms were only cared for in the morning, unlike that attention given to them in the past. Very messy and unkempt. This was for every day of our stay. Whoever was doing the upkeep before, bring them back, they/he did an awesomejob and are truly much appreciated.
