What a wonderful place to visit! Claiborne & Churchill is a delightful boutique winery that emphasizes a personal customer experience. You literally feel like you are the only guests on the premises. The setting is stunning. Sitting under the trees, around the fire pits, sipping delicious wine and chatting with friends is the perfect way to spend an afternoon. The staff is extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about all the varieties and added to the enjoyment. We experience the live music which was the perfect backdrop to our visit. I've been sipping on C&C wines for almost 4 years now. I was hooked on their Gewurztraminer - which is just perfect on a nice sunny day. Great wine, great outdoor scene, and great staff. The story of the owners and how they got started is incredible. During the summer, they do a concert series called "Sips & Songs" and it is an absolute delight. You get the beautiful central coast weather, awesome local musicians, and food trucks with delicious eats paired with great wine. I go to wine tasting a lot and this one by far is the most expensive one given what they offer. 22.5$ per person for half a tequila shot of wine. They didn’t serve any water . At the end I got a bill which was 30$ more than what I anticipated but because they didn’t give me the receipt I couldn’t really question it. They gave me a total on iPad and asked for my credit card. They were suppose to give a glass with a purchase of 2 bottles, which they didn’t.
