For generations our family has gone to this beach for recreation. For many years wr have swam this beach oe played o. It's long sandy shores near the water. At low tide there are two tide pools, the first one is perfect to splash around in the natural motes around the big rocks, the second one is filled with life, star fish swim I. The tidepools, but beware that so to sear urchin whose spike through a bare foot is painful and hazardous. They have a bathroom in the parking lot and a fresh water creek that sometimes rips through North and South beaches with a wide mouth 20 ' +/- wide. The driftwood at this beach has been home to beautifully sculpted castles. I love that everyone who uses this beach cleans up their trash and belongings, and you find many people bringing a trash bag for ocean debris or the occasional left behind item. Thank you for LNT everyone.

In the time before covid, we drove up Highway 1 and stopped here—a bunch of us friends from all over the globe. Even though it was February and we could practically see the tide of pandemic coming across the sea, we decided to wade it. How could I not? I had never seen the Pacific and now it was right there. So we all went in, shin-deep. It was cold. Bracing. Absolutely magnificent.

Great beach to walk and enjoy the ocean. Super foggy the day we went but still beautiful. Lots of cool houses and structures built on the beach from driftwood. There are alot of stairs going to the beach but nothing overwhelming. They have bathrooms in the parking lot, clean one holler toilets ( campground type) .

This has been the best beach in the area for families for many years. The inlet provides a safer place for kids to play. Sadly in the past month the entire landscape has changed and a lot of the beach is washed out and gone, replaced by the ocean. You can no longer easily access the other side of the beach. It will be interesting to see what happens...
