1hr15 mins easy 101 south drive from busy San Jose and you’re experiencing one of gazillion beautiful uncrowded Californian beaches. Outside the Palm beach state park parking lot entrance on Beach Road, take the sandy climb next to the Pajaro Dunes property to cross the dunes. It is the shortest & easiest (?)walk/climb to the beach. A picnic basket and a blanket are all you need. Water is too cold for me, but a long walk along the beach and sand playing make every one happy. Dress in layers & sunscreen.

Oh my. What a gem. Don't let the incline scare you. There's trails all over that lead easily to the other side to the water. To the right, near the houses, is a gravel path that's really easy. The picnic area is huge and the wind gets blocked by trees and hills. It really is a fantastic spot to explore. Trails go into trees! Shower and bathrooms were nice. The only downfalls were no park officers on duty and people leave so much trash.

It is an awesome beach 🏖️to bring your family and friends. We enjoyed our time here. The beach entrance is a bit steep so be prepared to hike on the sandy slope. They have basic amenities like restrooms and water supplies onsite. Their parking lot is of decent size and it was too hard to find a spot to park. The beach has a lifeguard on duty as well. Overall my experience was great and I would like to come again here.
