Peter Strauss Ranch — Attraction in California

There are no signs in the parking lot and finding trails is difficult. It seems like a cool place but there’s no cell service so you’re kind of left on your own if you don’t bring a map and thoroughly research it beforehand. The place seems like it would be great for events but when on a late November afternoon it felt straight out of a horror movie. People walking angry dogs, the few people you interact with have something strange about them, and the buildings/structures look super creepy.

I wouldn’t hesitate to go back except it’s just not that remarkable. Not a bad place, but I think there are better...

Nice little park with a shady path lined with Sycamores, Eucalyptus and Oaks. Plenty of free parking. Nice features like large grass lawn in front of the ranch house, very clean restrooms, picnic tables under the trees, hiking trails where dogs are allowed make this park particularly attractive for families with kids and pets.
