Pine Mountain Lake is an absolute gem! It’s the perfect getaway if you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing, and scenic retreat. The lake itself is beautiful — clean, calm, and surrounded by nature. Whether you want to swim, kayak, paddleboard, or just relax on the beach, there’s something for everyone. The community is welcoming and well-maintained, with lots of great amenities like a golf course, tennis courts, and hiking trails. We loved how easy it was to get around, and how close it is to Yosemite National Park, making it a great home base for day trips. The views are stunning — especially during sunrise and sunset over the water. It’s the kind of place where you can truly disconnect, recharge, and soak in the natural beauty. If you’re looking for a peaceful spot that still offers plenty to do, Pine Mountain Lake is a wonderful choice. We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect for family meals, swimming off course and watch The fireworks every 4th of July they also have a boat parade and a soft sandy place at the lake, great for kids. This las 4th we had a blast watching the fireworks from the lake with Kayaks

PML is a wonderful community to live in. It has many attractions such as a lake, trails, golf, archery, camping, etc... Dropped a star only bc they are a HOA and I can't stand HOA's.

We live on a gated community in Florida and Pine Mountain is the least welcoming community we've had the displeasure of staying. Signs everywhere stating what you can and can't do like being at school. The gate staff were not esp friendly and leave at 9pm, the guest representative Yvonne was uncontactable and rude when she finally did get in touch. It's over an hour from Yosemite Valley so certainly doesn't justify the $44 dollars they charge for up to 7 days access, meaning our 2 night stay...

Except for the slow steep climb up HWY 120, this place would be a gem to retire at. Beautiful community in the oakes, pines, cedars! Reminds me of Tahoe more than the Sierra western foothills. 2700-3000' elevation. Close to north Yosemite entrance...
