Such a great area to take the kids, have a picnic, or ride your bikes! They have basketball courts, tennis courts, baseball/softball fields, bathrooms and a nice playground area. The area is pretty well kept and you feel safe out here.

Green, wide open concrete walking trails, baseball, basketball areas. Nice seating, water fountains, concessions stand (locked bathrooms due to Covid lockdown?).

Great place for girls softball games! Get there early, parking is tight!

After about an hour of my two friends and I hanging out at the pool, we were interrupted by a worker who had just walked in. Prior to her clocking in, there had been no worker on duty and no worker to be seen. This in itself is not responsible as an establishment. The worker, blonde, glasses and unprofessional came up to us and demanded an identification. When we discussed we were of age but didn’t have our IDs on us, she asked us to leave in a forceful tone. I’m of age and have been a resident of Providence for six years, this has never happened to me. I know the rules and wouldn’t have done anything to go against them. And also as an active resident, I expect more from my community but with each interaction, I just get more and more disappointed. Maybe if the pool had initially had a worker present, this wouldn’t have been an...

While trying to enter the pool at Providence Landing Park, I was rudely disturbed by one of the high school graduate workers, Jesse. She then assumed our ages and declined us entry, even though my friend had a key and we have not had a problem with entry beforehand. Then proceeding the following hour, we witnessed a white, underaged group of girls who entered with no complications or ID check. After seeing this, we decided to try again and were declined with bigger accusations. Jesse then proceeded to call her boss who scolded our whole group which felt disrespectful and racially motivated. He told us when we had a right to enter, we could. But we did have a right, as my friend again had a key and lived in Providence. The whole experience felt discriminating and disturbing, as Providence is supposed to be a community and a safe...

Lovely park! There is a playground for younger children; a large basketball court, two huge fields for football and baseball games and more. As long as your dog is on a leash and you pick up after your animal, you are welcome there. It is fairly quiet during the school year but busier during the summer with kids, families & parties. They also have a swimming pool. I take my dog there from time to time and...
