Oh my goodness-what can we say?!? Lauri, Lucy and the team are INCREDIBLE. Lauri was such a wonderful guide through the entire process (and I mean a LONG process-we had to postpone due to COVID so we worked with her for about a year and a half!) She was always available to answer any questions, welcome us to the property for site visits and literally everything else we needed-she was right there! She made us feel like we were the only couple she was working with, even though she does weddings nearly every weekend (book now!!) She and her team are there for your entire event, Friday rehearsal, Saturday wedding, and Sunday for any brunch you might do. Lucy walked us through everything Friday evening and on Saturday was with myself and my bridal party as we got ready. She steamed dresses, did some quick alterations for my mother's dress (day of!!) and was just there guiding us and helping us stay calm in our anticipation. Now, the venue itself-just stunning. It is a beautiful barn set back from the road in a valley with mountains surrounding it (fun fact-it is actually still an operating farm!) You couldn't ask for a better setting for your rustic barn wedding dreams. The inside of the barn is incredible. Think big, rustic chandeliers and a huge open dance floor and raised seating-and a built in bar! Truly, this is a magical place. Thank you endlessly to Lauri and her team for sharing this space with us for our special day-it was unforgettable. Photos by The...
Read moreWe got married at Boyden on 10/5/24: 6 stars out of 5 would recommend! We had peak foliage and beautifully sunny, crisp weather, and couldn't have asked for more. Boyden was the last venue we saw on our VT venue tour, and we knew that as soon as we saw it and met Lauri, that we were meant to get married here. Lauri was a HUGE part of the reason we went with Boyden- she is warm, unbelievably professional, and someone we fully trusted to have our back on our big day. Other key perks of Boyden are that it offers a great rain plan that we felt was 80% as good as the sunny weather plan, and is one of the few VT venues we saw with both heat and a/c. Having guests stay at Smuggs was a huge plus, since most of our guests flew in from out of state, and putting people in a hotel in Burlington is definitely not what people have in mind when they dream of Vermont fall. Smuggs and Boyden are both on the same side of the Notch, so it was perfect for avoiding crazy fall Notch traffic. We loved having Boyden for the entire weekend- it truly felt like all our guests settled in for the weekend and were really comfortable there! If you're looking for an iconic Vermont wedding...
Read moreWe are SO happy that we chose The Barn at Boyden Farm for our wedding! From the very start, Lauri and her team were incredibly responsive and helpful - she answered what felt like 100 of my questions, hopped on multiple phone calls, and even welcomed us back to the barn several times throughout the planning process so we could visualize and coordinate details like table layouts. Having the barn for the entire weekend was such a gift - it made everything feel so personal, relaxed, and seamless, rather than rushed or transactional. The venue itself is absolutely stunning, and what makes it even more special is the community Lauri has built. So many of the local vendors know and love working with her, which made everything run smoothly and feel cohesive. We wouldn’t change a single thing about our wedding day, and we are so deeply grateful that we chose The Barn at Boyden Farm. We would highly, highly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with a truly...
