Townsend has become a family favorite. The park is well maintained. During the summer there are multiple playgrounds, bathrooms and large open areas to enjoy. The creek that runs through adds fun, a place to cool off and hunt crawdads, and charm. Parking is plentiful and there's sun and shade. During the off season, it's still lovely to go to the one open play area and burn off some energy after long days at school.

Walk in the creek with your kiddos or have fun at the numerous playgrounds with them. Great for family picnics or walks in all seasons. Love the old stone Pavillion or stone bridges built by WPA workers almost a century ago. Hike the woods, bike the path, or enjoy a bite to eat on a short walk over to Cannonsburg.

This is a very beautiful Park, with large areas, more than one playground, beautiful scenery, picnic tables grills you name it. It has adorable little Bridges with a creek running through it. It's a great place for kids it's also great place for adults just to be in such pretty surroundings.

This was a great venue beautiful shaded green grass but if you're using it for a wedding or something you need a mirror for there isn't one also no air flow you are going to need to bring your own fans that's why you got a Four out of five Also there is no plugs in the bathroom whatsoever the only plugs that there are to use for a curling iron or an iron or anything to do with getting ready for something is in the kitchen so it's a great after spot but not a great getting ready spot We rented the venue I'm sure the park is a five star but the venue itself the building we rented to use could use some plugs a mirror...

As a person with disabilities I was at the park Sunday with my family I had to use the restroom because it was so busy we were way in the back evidently there are only two areas that have bathrooms one up front and one small one in the back but in order to get to the one in the back you have to go up a hill which is very hard to do when you have MS and use a walker. I was so lucky to have a very nice young man named Evan who came along with the side by side and said I can give you a ride up to the bathroom he even waited for me to give me a ride back down such a nice young man it's hard to find...

This is a beautiful park, hilly & loaded with trails, large trees, and, my fave feature, a babbling creek. It has many picnic tables in various areas and is wonderful for groups and families to enjoy a fine day. We had a picnic there a couple days ago, our first visit, and were surprised how spread out it is. There is a log lodge with restrooms and plenty of parking. We were there in July and know that it will be gorgeous there...
