The trail starts off pretty easy. The last half mile is probably the toughest and steepest. Beautiful views at the top, you'll have great cell reception. Our small dog did just fine, but I would not recommend it for smaller children unless you want to carry them some. The trail is well maintained with only a few muddy spots after the rain.
