I love ruins, so I'm a bit biased here, but these ones habe walls that are actually rather intact! Its pretty cool to be able to see exactly how they put it together. Kids will like it if you explain it to them. The walk is a really nice, level earthen trail. There are lots of cacti around, but just keep to the path and you'll be fine. Great place to stretch your legs. If you miss the first entrance, there's a shoulder with a small parking lot and an entrance to the trail...

Interesting and easy paved quarter mile walk learning about the history of mail deliveries that went through this area from St Louis to San Francisco even before the pony express. The entrance off of the highway is barricaded off, so don't listen to Google maps because you have to park at the visitor center...

Interesting site with unique history. This location is an easy, 0.3 mile hike from the Guadeloupe Mountains National Park Visitors Center on a fairly level, easy to walk on trial. I took our dog for a nice walk and the views were spectacular!

A short walk from the visitor center and a long walk back in time. Accessible, paved walk with informational guides and interesting ruins and plants. If going to Guadalupe Peak, this is a nice piece of Americana
