Great place for a 3 year old's birthday party. We really enjoyed the splash park, slides, and swings. There is also a skate park. The mouth of the Kentucky River is to the left flows into the Ohio River. There is a boat ramp on the Ohio side. They also have music festivals there sometimes. There are covered picnic tables with restrooms attached which is where we had our pizza and birthday cake. Worked out perfectly.

I was visiting Gen. Butler State Park & decided to check out this park. It had a nice short river walk with plenty of places to sit. Lots of kids were having fun on the playground & small water park. This is a premiere place to capture a sunset on the Ohio River. Absolutely beautiful!

I visited here for a civil war re-enactment on May 20, 2023. It was interesting to see. They did a very good job. I especially liked the horsemen battles. The park was nice with a play area, sidewalks for walking with a river view. They have also put in 2 new pickleball courts.

They have a nice new playground, an older playground, a splash pad ( free admission), skate park, bball court, soccer goals, volleyball and some walking paths. They recently rebuilt the bathrooms and for now they are in great condition. There are a few covered picnic areas and benches. As far as river activities there are boat ramps. The Point could really benefit from having boat and jet ski rentals.. more things that focus on the river to attract tourists and create more business. There’s no place to swim and I wouldn’t want to swim in that section of the river anyway. More info about the history of the point would be great. There is so much history in that area that no one knows about. Several wifi access points pop up at the point but they’re all locked. From looking around at the many surveillance cameras I’d say those access points are for those cameras only. So no free wifi. There is no where to get snacks or drinks at the point so...

I love to take my dogs for walks here. The landscape is serene and is rather unique to this location. Good place to take photos and catch beautiful sunsets. Plenty of room to roam around and it is very seldom crowded. Great picnic spot. Well lit at night. Park includes 2 playground areas, splash park, volleyball court, skateboarding ramps, basketball court, pickleball court, soccer field, baseball field, covered picinic areas, grills, a large pavilion, paved trail, boat ramp & dock, and is adjacent to an RV park/campground. Last but not least, its a unique spot where you can see 2 rivers, 2 bridges, and 2 states all in one location. If you love the water, you will most definitely enjoy this park. As beautiful as it may be, I suggest taking extra precaution around the water, especially with children or pets. The currents are quite strong and should not be underestimated. All in all, one of my favorite parks that I...

A Perfect Family Spot – We Love Point Park!

Point Park in Carrollton is hands-down one of our favorite places to go as a family! My kids absolutely love the playground—it’s spacious, well-maintained, and full of fun equipment that keeps them entertained for hours. Whether they’re climbing, swinging, or running around, they never want to leave!

Beyond the playground, the park itself is beautiful. The open green spaces, scenic views, and walking areas make it a perfect place for a relaxing stroll or a family picnic. There’s something so peaceful about being by the water while the kids burn off all their energy!

If you’re looking for a great spot to take the family, whether it’s for playtime, a picnic, or just to enjoy the fresh air, Point Park is a must-visit! We’ll definitely be back...
