Edgar Evins Marina — Attraction in Carthage

Had a few problems with the boat, but that was not anybody’s fault and was given a partial refund. The young men on the boat docs were very helpful as always. The staff inside were the most rude employees I’ve ever come across. They clearly hate their job and their life. My family was so upset and has spent thousands of dollars at that marina and we drive an hour and a half to come here. I had brought out of state Company there for the day. The treatment was completely uncalled for and I assume it was just because YOU were having a bad day?? I’m still in disbelief. They both(man and a woman) continued to not tell the truth when confronted about their actions by my guests who were in disbelief by such rude behavior from staff. It ruined the day for everyone in my party. My grand children were so upset. my 70-year-old aunt was spoken to so rudely when she rightfully complained. We have most of this interaction on cellphone video. You guys could have been courteous. It’s really not that hard. We will never be back due to the customer service and this was before the problems with the boat. We had bought hats, sweatshirts, and tee shirts for our party before the rude event. After the refund for the defective boat we were rudely told “you got a refund now Just get out of here” my daughter who had enough of them told her where to go which resulted in a cussing and yelling match between the two of them as tension was so high. Horrible!!! One of the employees who witnessed this followed us out and apologized for the behavior inside and told us how to email the owner and said we need to tell him about this. This is a fantastic marina we have rented boated from them for the past couple years at least it could be going on year three or four not sure. we always have fun. The individuals at the dock always explain the boat controls even though, they recognize us . This is the best place to rent boats checking in and out is easy and very fair pricing and the boats are maintained and clean. We have never had an issue and the only time we did. It wasn't even their fault and they went above and beyond.

For memorial day weekend we had a boat rental reserved. for 1-6 well the boat was damaged by the previous renter. This is not their fault upon them knowing it they immediately called and notified us, however we where over halfway to the lake and we where not turning back. They tried the best they could but they simply did not have another boat to offer. They called us several times just to let us know what was going on with the rental. They knew where were at the lake making the most of our day. we did go to where swimming was allowed and we had a great time by the shore. Yes we were upset at first our plans of a day on the lake and floating on a tube was not going to happen , but again this was no fault of theirs, they did the best the communicated very well and they even called us the final time profusely apologizing and offered us a free boat rental next time.. hey now that is...

I wish I could give them a ten. Five Star doesn’t high enough. Very polite young men on the dock. Very nice people at check out. We celebrated my wives 60th birthday on the boat and she sadly left her gifts under the seat due to the rain we had. Well, we forgot the gifts and didn’t realize it until we got back to Nashville. We called and they said they found them (including a $100 gift card) which could have been stolen very easily. But it wasn’t and the person very graciously said they will mail out to us right away. So they mailed it and it made my wives day to know she would get all her gifts given to her that day. Thank you isn’t enough. Oh and the boat ran great and all the items on the boat worked outstanding. Yes, we wish we had an anchor to but certainly know and understand the reason why there isn’t one. With everyone losing them and ruining things on the boats i wouldn’t give them out either. People just don’t take care of things anymore and it wasn’t worth to the rental place. Makes...
