First I want to say I am so thankful that through this stressful covid and places closing they Still managed to keep their doors open through it all which was much needed for a lot of bored people (I saw people in there trying games out that said they have never games) Warning: this is going to be a long review because i’ve loved this place for more than 6 years and haven’t once left an online review. Sorry guys, don’t feel obligated to read the entire thing. Price and community: Their prices and selection of retro games reminds me of how fair GameStop was when I was a kid. They don’t only have retro games and consoles. Ive found plenty of new and newer used games and they almost always have current generation consoles and controllers. All the staff are actual gamers with plenty of knowledge and exp., that give great recommendations based on what kind of game genre you’re looking for. All of them are a bit older than the average gamer giving them great advice and knowledge of older games but they all still game so they give good recommendations of new games as well. I feel like this is keeping older games alive with the younger generations in our community(in most towns and cities it feels like retro being “cool” are fading). I don’t know if they get commission or not but they aren’t pushy salesmen and are honest about their products and the condition. Prices are almost always more fair and better condition than the same items online. They also do cheap repairs and modifications.
Personally stories: I know this is a long review and it’s not likely anyone read this far down. Just Want to say no one told me to write this. I’ve just spent at least a $2k-$3k and saved at least $200-$300 in discounts off their already low prices, both in personal purchases and on gifts for others. I personally have 10 consoles I bought from them from the atri to the ps4. All of which still work. And I have yet to have a bad experience nor felt ripped off. I plan on going there for the ps5 and Xbox x when they get used ones. All these stories really happened, but don’t expect the same prices as these were special circumstances and times are always changing.
I bought a used ps4 from them(when the ps4 was probably 1.5 years old) for $35 less than a used one at GS (with my pro membership at GS) and the ps4 at game doctors had more gbs. I stopped paying my pro membership at GS and haven’t been back to one since
I was looking for a ps4 for my niece’s birthday and at GS they were still $300-$400 with GameStop brand controller(which everyone knows will break before you beat your favorite game), despite hints about a release date for the ps5. Well Gamedoctors sold me the last one they had on the shelf (they had sold a bunch of them due to the pandemic and everyone being bored, I’m sure they have plenty now with the ps5 out) for $200. It was a model with 1 tb storage and it came with a long corded hdmi and ps brand power hookups and a ps brand controller. (I know this is standard with most console purchases but Some consoles on eBay were going for $180-$200 )
I once saw a young kid in there with a quarters trying to buy a newer halo game with his dad .(said he grew up playing the first two with his dad) He was like $15 short but the older employee(Dan I think) told him that he could take $5 off the game and make sure he saves him a copy so he could come back sooner. (I bet he would have gave it to him but didn’t want to step on the dads parenting) Of course I first asked for permission from the dad, off to the side. But I told him I’d give him $10 if he promised to play the first two halo’s with his younger brother that was there when he got old enough. That employee said that was really cool of me and gave me a free $15 game with my...
Read moreI've visited more than my fair share of game stores over the years and Game Doctors is definitely one of the best. They have a great inventory spanning across the different generations of consoles. One of the common downsides of shopping at game stores in the past were the higher prices as opposed to shopping online, but Game Doctors keeps their prices competitive with current going rates for games and consoles. Plus at Game Doctors, a 90-day warranty is included with your purchase. Good luck trying to return an item on eBay after three months.

Everything there is priced the way it should be and the staff always has great insight and has sent me in the direction I need to go when I wanted to buy a stupid terrible game the staff showed me a game that actually was a bonus pack= saved me money and more fun! Don't try to rip them off by selling them damaged goods because they are PRO and will know!! Thanks Dan for all the good years from before the Tony Hawks pro skater demo you gave me for free!
Also notice the people that have gave them bad reviews hide their faces l, I would guess because they are...
