Visited June 2021. Really nice walk through the woods. Well-marked trails meander through the forest. Great place to take the dogs for a walk. DISCLAIMER: TICKS!! We walked in from the parking area directly to the lookout at Blockhouse Point and picked up over 20+ ticks on our two dogs. The views were awesome and we're planning to go again but probably in the Fall after tick season.

For me this was the highlight of my Castine visit. Viewing Dyce cliffs which the American force scaled in 1779 - what a climb. Wandering around possibly in the very same spot where Lt Moore (later Lt General Moore of fame from the Peninsula war) had his first significant action. Beautiful views from the headland.

Beautiful area to hike! It’s perfect for beginners and intermediate hikers. There are several different trails aside from the main loop. Perfect area for nature photography too! Be warned that there are a lot of ticks! No restrooms or water fountains, so come prepared.

We visited today for the first time. A massive rain and windstorm happened only days earlier and yet there was not much in the way of blow down, even at Indian trail a very narrow path that follows the shore. This could have been inconvenient and treacherous but instead it was exhilarating. Wide level paths overall. It was such a sweet treat to go down a seasonal path called...
