The only reason we chose this venue for our wedding was because we fell in love with the natural setting but choosing it was the biggest mistake ever. When we first sat down with the owner Frances we were promised a lot of things that never came through at last minute such as the plates for the catering, ice, silverware even refreshments. Considering the fact that we got the catering through them I thought it was ridiculous that these things were not included not to mention the fact that they let us know at last minute just a couple of days before the wedding. Every time we called to speak to someone about our wedding no one ever knew what we were talking about or they "didn't have our contract". The wedding coordinator Annabell never picked up the phone and was no help at all, the day of our wedding she was no one where to be found. Whenever the owner was available (which was almost never) she was rude and disrespectful. She always had a completely different story about what she was going to include for the catering. The day of the wedding we came to the venue early to set up, the fountain area where we had our reception was filled with leaves and dirty. We were promised that it was at least going to be cleaned by the time we got there. There was also a bunch of chairs and tables smack in the middle which they refused to move when we finally found a worker. Even the linens were two hours late. When someone finally showed up they were showing the venue while we were setting up which was ridiculous not only that but during our actual wedding and reception they kept showing the venue and our decoration to potential clients even after we told them to please stop. Even when the reception finished we had to clean ourselves because apparently they don't "clean up after you". Planning a wedding is always stressful but the venue and the owner made it the worst experience of my life. Even after the wedding they kept one of our tables and refused to give it back and HERE'S THE WORST PART after the wedding one of the workers tried to use my mother-in-laws bank account to pay their phone bill. I DO NOT recommend this place AT ALL. The owner is really rude and doesn't care once she has your money not even your personal information you give them is safe. This is suppose to be a special day and customers should never be treated the way we were treated and taken advantage of. We loved our wedding because we had a lot of help from friends ad family to make it all happen but if there is one thing that I would change is the venue. It was absolutely terrible and all I can say is that I'm glad...

On May 8th I was SOOO BLESSED to marry not only the man of my dreams, but I got to marry the man of my dreams in the PLACE OF MY DREAMS!

I can't tell you enough how grateful we are to Cauley Square. I promise you—you will not regret it!

After wrestling with about half a dozen venues, Wesly and I felt so defeated; we literally almost gave up on planning our wedding. One day at work, a co-worker approached my husband and told him about Cauley Square ( A HIDDEN GEM IN SOUTH DADE).

From the moment we stepped in, we already knew we would get married there. We arrived there unexpectedly on a SUNDAY and Abby immediately connected me with the owner, Francis.

Francis sat down with us and on the spot we had a food sampling (not to mention the best cafecito)!

Wesly and I explained how were planning a wedding on an extremely tight budget, and that we were paying it with no help from family.

Francis was so kind and really worked with us. We signed the paperwork that same day!!!

From then on we had 4 months to plan. Can I tell you that we visited Cauley Square- our future wedding spot almost every Sunday? It was our new escape.

As a bride planning her own wedding with no financial support from parents, it was very burdensome. I felt so heavy. Francis saw how I was feeling and connected me with Abby. Abby went above and beyond to help me figure out my flower arrangements (which I did on site at a super low price) and invested so much of her personal time.

Up until the very day of the wedding, Francis and Abby and their crew helped me like a family would. They held me as I cried, as I laughed and dreamed of the day I would walk down the aisle.

The way they treated us— I will NEVER forget. They made my night unforgettable. The day before the wedding during the rehearsal dinner it started to POUR.

Francis took it among herself to bless us with a beautiful white tent to prop up just in case it rained on our big day. I CRIED SOOOO MUCHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!! No other place would have every welcomed us and breathed so much life into us.

God blessed us with Cauley Square, and I know He'll bless you too. It is absolute the most breathtaking place. The quaint, vintage, timeless place will be your perfect venue. You'll be missing out on so much if you don't get married or celebrate your special...

Cauley Square, built in 1903, is a little hidden gem off of US 1 in Naranja. It's got very quaint shops, unique things to see and buy, beautiful peacocks abound, trails to walk, lush gardens, a Chapel, unique stores to buy things you probably won't find anywhere else. They hold weddings and have parties there too. At one end is a beauty salon where you can get a hair cut or a manicure. You can see an old caboose by the Post Office. There's also an old Fire Truck, old farm equipment an old military truck and a Ford tractor. They used to have the coolest aviary in the corner store of the 2 story building at the front, but they were renovating the building so the aviary moved across the street down the block. It's now on the East Side of US 1. But if you have an I-Phone, it may still try to take you to the old location. If you've never been to the aviary, you've got to go check it out. It's amazing - they've got all kinds of birds there that are so unique and gorgeous and beautiful. There is also their resident cat who's super friendly. They've got various kinds of parrots of all colors, parakeets, Cockatiel's, Quaker parrots, finches, sparrows, parakeets, Conures & more! I would give the Aviary 5 STARS, *! They also have a hotel for birds! The reason I didn't give Cauley Square 5 stars is because the place was looking a little rough, some fountains had no water, it could use a little TLC, some paint, upkeep, repairs, etc. Check out the Clothing Colors Thrift Store, Esmeralda's Earth, Wind and Fire Boutique, Esmeralda's Salty Air Retreat- Himalayan Salt Cave, Sweet Haven Books, find a cool lamp at Jimmy's Bright Ideas, buy homemade soap, grab a bite at the Latin Corner, at the Village Chalet or at the Tea Room. They usually have special events monthly such as tours or activities, sometimes free or sometimes a small fee. THEY ARE CLOSED ON MONDAYS, a few stores are also closed...

My wife and I were in Miami with a couple of days to tour before our cruise and visited the tourist friendly locales like Bayside marketplace and little Havana but with a day to go I needed to find an activity that doesn't include a boat ride, sports or alligators. So I randomly found a place called Cauley Square Historic Village, south of Miami that sounded like a great place for 60 somethings to walk around in a garden setting, free, and with local shops, artisans and food. This location is off of Dixie highway and a little off the beaten path but once we visited the soap/fragrance shop we knew that we could spend a couple of hours here. The park-like setting was quiet and absolutely beautiful with native flowers, grove trees and sculpted fountains. It is billed as a wedding and banquet location but just strolling through the well manicured walkways made us feel like newlyweds. The shops (that were open on Fridays) were quirky and creative, as were the shopkeepers. I would highly recommend this gorgeous and quaint local artisan village if you're looking for a quiet walk through a beautiful floral setting and you aren't in a hurry to leave.
