Cedar Grove Christmas Trees — Attraction in Cedar Grove

I ordered a Christmas tree for my office on 11/13 to be delivered on 12/3. The same day of purchase, I emailed asking if a hole could please be drilled for a tree stand. No response so I emailed again to follow up on 11/27 again with no answer. I tried calling the number listed on Google, only to reach an answering machine saying that due to high call volume, they can't answer any calls.

I sent a third email on 12/2 to confirm delivery for the following day since I hadn't received any shipping confirmation, which was only answered after reaching out to the company on Facebook that same day. They let me know that they ship on the day of delivery - which totally makes sense, but I think it would have been helpful for that to be stated somewhere on their FAQs or website.

The tree arrived and was cut completely at an angle and no hole for a tree stand was drilled. Luckily we have a drill in our office and were able to drill a hole but due to the tree being cut at an angle, it was extremely crooked once mounted to the tree stand. I ended up having to go buy a pruning saw to fix the crooked cut.

From the time the tree was delivered around 11AM, it was an all-day endeavor trying to get it just to stand up straight. Lots of running around, spending extra time and money, and for $140 for a tree I would have expected much better communication and quality of service. We came here on the morning of Black Friday and this was our first time coming here. We’re glad we discovered this place as they were really welcoming and helpful. They have a great amount of trees and wreaths to choose from and they said that they even decorate them as well if decorating is ever too much for a person. Full service is provided as they cut off some of the trunk for better absorption of water, net the tree, and tie it to your car. They also sell a tree care kit and tree stand if you need which is a relief of not having to go to several places for your tree, stand, and tree care. We bought those too. The tree stand is very easy to assemble. Like, two minutes as it really says. Lol. The tree care kit is nice and helpful. Has one packet of tree food, disposal bag for your tree and a reminder sticker to water your tree. We’re in love with our tree. It’s a beautiful 7’ balsam fir and it’s so fresh, full and wide just how we like it. Did I mention they’re AFFORDABLE? Their prices are amazing and competitive. A place in Brooklyn charges $160.00 for a 7’ tree....No thank you! We will be coming back here by the end of this week for a wreath (undecorated) and next year as well. I used Cedar Grove Christmas Trees for the first time this year. I bought a Frasier Christmas tree and it didn't drink any water. I was telling my father-in-law that I'll never buy from them again. He said to call them, which I did. IMMEDIATELY, Rocco (I believe the owner or manager), told me that there are sometimes genetic issues with a tree every once in a long while and he told me to come down and pick out a new tree. He said they would personally deliver it and take away the defective tree. When I got there, he immediately asked one of his team to assist me (I'm sorry that I forget his name). He helped me pick a tree, put it in his truck and came to my house and swapped the trees. He told us this tree place has been in business for 35 years and he's been there for 7 years and NEVER saw this happen before. This tree does NOT stop drinking!! YAY!!
