We visited the quarry splash pad, which only accepts cash. It costs $2 per person. It was a busy day, but there was plenty of room for everyone. The splash pad itself is quite spacious. There is one big main area with water guns and all kinds of streams and sprays. And there is a smaller area adjacent to that, which seems a little slower and better suited to little ones. There are plenty of shaded spots and picnic tables, though all were taken when we arrrived. Beware, there is no shade on the splash pad and the water really reflects off the concrete. I honestly wish so bad they would set aside a few hours a week to cater to those with special needs . By cater I mean give them access where they feel comfortable amung other special needs children . We bring our noise cancelation head phones but too many typical children do not understand why he may not be talking or responding typically . Read moreI took my 8 year old niece to ride her bicycle at 9:00 on a Tuesday. I'm from out of town, and it was nice to find a clean, well-kept park that had friendly staff working.
The park is pretty large, but it is well planned so that everything is accessable. I know it's still under construction, and could receive a 5 star rating if there were restrooms by the train station. The Port-o-Potties just weren't inviting.
