The park is actually very small, not a lot of room to run and aside from the train, not much equipment. Not impressive. The All Abilities Park in Round Rock by far a much better day of play.

Just received the response from owners which makes it doubly disappointing. Not their fault but I went three times to the park to be able to ride the train with my 2 year old granddaughter. I did not do my due diligence and find out what time the train stopped running. Definitely my bad.Turned out we were waiting in the park for her to ride the train and it was the last ride so we missed it. I shared that it was our 3rd time, and got "sorry, last ride". Look, I realize a person may want to go home, but that's usually hired kid employees, not owners. It's really hard to disappoint a granddaughter and a "I got you" from an owner would have made our day. Again, I understand wanting to go home, I get that one exception can lead to others, but every now and then a real moment to brighten someone's day comes along and a chance to offer good will. This is a business of putting smiles on a kids face.I thought maybe there were park restrictions which is why it was a hard no, but if I owned it and a little girl tried 3x to ride the train, I would take it out for 10 more minutes just to pay it forward. Owners didnt do anything wrong, but also did nothing to make me want to go out of my way to try again. Kindness never fails. Nevertheless, if you can get there at the right moment and don't need a lot of variety on the playground, it's something different to do.i dont know what the actual train ride is like. But oh well. The mall has a...

Cedar Rock Rail doesn't follow their own schedule. They left nearly 5 minutes early, pulling away in front of us. The schedule says departures at :15 and :45 past the hour. My phone said 12:11 when the train was pulling away a few steps from us as we approached. We were early. We had followed directions and believed what was communicated on signage and the website.

When I confronted the staff, we told the train routinely leaves early, which was the first time I was warned about that. The operator seemed baffled and confused that we were nonplussed. We were told we couldn't get on the next train as it was a special birthday train. Offered no solutions and only refunded after I asked a few times.

Cedar Rock's policy of "we do what we want, screw you for following directions" took my breath away. This is a terrible policy for all families, but especially those with special needs, who rely on predictability and go through intense prep and planning to make outings successful. As a taxpayer in this county that owns the park, I am disappointed at how poor the operational standards are, and I will follow this matter closely in the future.

Theres also a mini-train at Lakeline, at the Austin Zoo, and Dell Diamond at times. Luckily, the Zilker Eagle will be up and...

We have been going here for years and it has been great until today. Today a new employee with glasses, shoved our 3 year old son while he was trying to ride the little train cars.

It is one thing to keep him from entering because he didn’t have a ticket, but he literally pushed him away. You don’t put your hands on a 3 year old. You don’t push them.

When I talked to the employee he was defensive and gave a half ass apology. When I spoke to the other employee who seemed to be in charge...before anything he asked if my son knew what he was doing. No apology. Nothing. I had to voice my displeasure before he apologized. On top of that, he said he would talk to the other employee and that was it.

That is absolutely unsatisfactory.

It’s horrible customer service and bad business for place that is supposed to cater to children.

We will not be going back there anytime soon. Be careful when...

We love this park for ourselves and our kids. It is built as a small rail yard where kids 2-6 years old would love to celebrate their birthday in the picnic pad. There is a playscape with a rail engine great for toddlers. The tram seats about 16 people in one trip and takes you around the beautiful Wilco Park. It even passes through a tunnel which they setup for cute-scary fun during Halloween. The ride is about 15 mins long and costs $2.50 for all. They accept cards. Rides are every half hour at :15 and :45 of the hour. Time 10-5 on weekdays and 10-6 on weekends. The locomotive chase is another fun activity @$2.50 here that kids below 100 pounds can do. Great exercise as they try to outdo each other. No proper restrooms around was the only downside but there is a portable toilet for emergencies. Biggest kudos to the staff! They are so well dressed, welcoming and informative.

What a great experience!!! Both my kids & myself really enjoyed the train ride, the tickets were so reasonable, there was no wait or lines when we went on a Sunday around 2 pm. The man in the ticket booth as well as the conductor on the train was so nice & made my kids feel comfortable excited about the ride. It was a very nice scenic route through the woods of the park & the train wasn't fast nor super slow. The ride wasn't very long but I'm guessing that is why the tickets are so affordable. There was also a little park area for some great photos of the kids! We live about an hour away & will definitely visit again in the future, was worth the trip! :)
