We went on a Sunday and had the best experience! Both of my daughters said it was “epic” and “awesome”. There must have only been two other families there while we were there so we felt very safe with social distancing and they have sanitizer everywhere too. The staff treated us like royalty; they took their time walking the kids through the simulations (my girls got to do all the age-appropriate ones available) and other staff gave us detailed information about the planes on display. They also gave us some wonderful information on helping guide our daughter towards aviation programs, since she is very interested in that. This museum made us all so happy and was two wonderful hours well-spent. For reference, our kids are 7 and 12; this probably isn’t the best place for little tots unless they just like to see big planes up close. The simulations and science stations are probably better for older kids and definitely teens and adults. They even gave the kids a goodie bag on the way out. They have a cute...

First, I will say all of the staff and volunteers here were very kind and obviously love flying! We were really hoping to love this place, but it just didn't work out that way.

While we wouldn't have been too surprised not to have many activities geared toward our preschooler, we were disappointed that our 10-year-old couldn't do any of the simulators either. It wasn't super clear to me from the website, but this is really better suited for older kids and adults.

As I said, the staff was very accommodating and issued us a refund after we discovered that we couldn't enjoy most of the exhibits. I would definitely recommend this place if you have a TEENAGE...

This is a fantastic gem, and I'm hesitant to review it as I don't want to spoil it! I popped in here on a lark with my two young ones with the goal of burning 30-60 minutes before they crashed down for a nap, we ended up staying 2.5 hours and the kids weren't ready to leave yet. This isn't a big museum, but it doesn't need to be, the volunteers and staff made me and my kids feel very welcome, and encouraged them to play and explore the coloring, crafts, and everything they had to offer. They have many great programs they do as well, when we were there, some local youths were practicing with their drones in the drone cage, which was great to...

Best experience at a museum. We brought our 3 year old and he had the absolute best time. The volunteers are so kind, make you feel so welcome and really help educate you about aviation. The simulators are great, for a smaller museum they have so much to see and explore. We can’t wait to keep visiting, it was the best experience we’ve had at any museum. The volunteers really made our experience special, we can’t say enough about them! 10/10 recommend!

This wing of “Wings Over the Rockies “ is actually more for aviation exploration purpose. If you are aviation enthusiast or love to fly this may be the place for you. There are flight simulators, video games to keep the kids busy. Not too many aircrafts on display. If you want see some old and beautiful 2nd WW aircrafts go to their denver museum. Parking, accessibility and restrooms are available to support your urges and needs.

Opening weekend review! A $5 admission fee is a reasonable price for a big open hangar with some neat flight paraphernalia (including a supersonic test plane this weekend and a startup's electric plane) that will change over time (this is one building out of several planned) with some interesting events upcoming. Neat to see a place us neighborhood folks can go to learn more about one of the country's biggest private airports!
