There are plenty of fish to be had here, bass, trout, crappie, bluegill, carp (if that's your jam) and even some less prominent species such as green sunfish and cat fish. That said, you may want to spend your time, energy, and money fishing elsewhere.

We fished the ampitheater pond, only because the other ponds a) cost money to use b) have only a few spots of bank access and c) were inundated with people. Needless to say, with as few areas there are to fish in the paid access, one must wonder what the county does with the revenue they generate from the fees they collect here. They certainly don't use it to staff grounds keepers to maintain a clean, public friendly fishing experience. At any given pond, there's always trash (though this is as much the public's fault as it is staffers) and at the ampitheater pond, one must park outside the gate of the large, unused parking lot and hike their gear in to access the water. My only guess is because they haven't figured out how to monetize this area yet.

I also want to draw attention to how the Jackson county apparently "honors veterans" (as is proclaimed by their signage on I5 as one enters the county line) but they do not honor Oregon State access passes issued to veterans with disabilities....

Concerts outdoors at the Bimart Amphitheater are great...even the most reasonable tickets for "lawn seating" are good "seats." Bring a blanket and stadium/beach low profile chairs to be comfortable. Indoor events, in the Seven Feathers Event Center are terrific too...my personal favorites are the rodeos and bull riding!

Handicap parking is availanle at the last entry gate (gate 1) on the road into the Fairgrounds and gets you very close to the indoor event center. Be forewarned, the parking surface is dusty gravel and not a very even surface for those using walkers, especially.

I gave a "4" instead of a "5" because of the poor parking services overall. Gravel surface, no shuttle available for BIG events like the County Fair or Country Crossings Music Festival, no Handicap parking in the lot closest to entry for the BiMart Amphitheater, and poor parking lot security. If there is security assigned to the parking lots, I've never observed them. For very large events, you may have to park in a spot well away from the entry point. Car break-ins are common in Jackson County...be sure to lock your vehicle and leave valuables at home or...

We went for the county fair and I'm probably a bit biased BECAUSE I WON A FAIR GAME! But truly had fun. The exhibits were pretty cool and lunch was way to expensive BUT SOOOOOO GOOD. Had some handmade lemonade, worth it. A pastrami sandwich like I had never tasted before, They in fact did NOT skimp on the pastrami. Also, we went on Friday morning and there were no crowds. This probably also contributed to the positive experience. My grandson walked right on the rides. I am giving four stars simply because a lot of the rides looked super sketchy, however in fairness when you go to the fair you're not looking for OSHA approved. You kinda know what you're getting into. But we definitely skipped a couple. Also the fair games people seemed EXTRA pushy. Might be because of light crowds but still, they came at us pretty hard. I do always choose one and this dude was pretty chill and I've run a sledge hammer or two in my lifetime 🤣 and for 5 bucks my grandson got to hit the smaller one and he helped him hit the bell and that was really cool of him. Overall I recommend, just choose what...

At the concert at this moment. I booked 3 handicap seats because my mother has difficulty walking, so she's in an electric chair, and we help her do things around the park. The seats are nothing like the online map what so ever! 3 times we had people checking our seats to find one group had our seat! After being told these were ares by two workers, Turns out my 'seats' were an empty space between the actual seats! Luckily, the people took some chairs instead, or else this would have been a huge problem. The picture below is my paid for seats.*edit* the seat in front of us has moved 4 times and people keep shuffling. This is ridiculous to the point the worker laughed at how frustrated I look.
