This could be such a nice park if the number of nosy bodies and creeps would stop coming out of their bag. Months ago when I first started coming to this park the lawn care crew would start cutting grass where I was parked. I moved to the farthest side and they would bring out the blower, move again to another side and would get soaked by the sprinklers. This went on for weeks, afterwards they called the police assistant to park near me. That did stop me they called the police. Well that didn't stop me either now there are what appear to be Micheal Jackson Thriller rejects pop out of no where when I park. If I don't move here come vehicles parking up close to me in an empty parking space. At a 117 degrees I'm parked under a shade tree where the rows of garbage cans are stage. Within the hour that I was parked five thriller rejects pass in front of my vehicle afterwards a pickup truck parked in front of me .I turned my vehicle around and the pick up truck left. I place my side window shades up within five minutes someone parked a couple rows over on the side of me and walked back to the Cabana with a back pack appearing to read a book 📚 in 117 degrees. Now there was plenty of parking near the Cabana. I decided to move to another section a white pick up truck was headed towards the train museum. I made a u turn to leave the park by the time I made it to the red light the white pick up truck was behind me. Being a non Caucasian person ,it seems that people are staged at this parked to run people like me out. I rarely come to this park when they have soccer games or events My most frequent times are when the parking lots are mostly empty. Today it was five other vehicles scattered in different parking lots. When I come in the mornings I have encountered what appear to be a person in a Halloween costume matted wig riding a light blue girl bicycle 🚲 . If I park in the far parking lot across from the museum I will have a constant stream of people passing by me parking near me until I leave the area. Let's not forget the large dogs that appear to be police dogs will find the need to poop near me or the trash can I used. I have witnessed people going through the trash cans shortly after I toss some trash in it. By now they should know I'm not consuming drugs or alcohol at the park or engaging in adult activities nor am I selling or buying anything from anyone. I'm simply minding my business in my vehicle. It doesn't matter what time of the day or day of the week,it's the same 🐂 crap chase around the park stalked like an animal. If any of the parks I have posted reviews about think this is untrue ....I have video rolling the entire time during my visits at the Chandler and surrounding parks . I'm a veteran with veteran plates displayed, served this country and can't park in peace at a public park something is wrong out here. Unless it's a game or event this park is empty with the bulk of the vehicles parked at the rec center and a few vehicles scattered around the park . Finally the extended wait time at the red light on the exits. I guess this is to capture video from the street cams. Someone knocked on my window after watching me for an hour . I have watched the new pickleball courts construction from start to finish. Based on the unbelievable encounters it appears there is a collective group of persons trying to provoke a veteran so they can ban the veteran from a public park. I have read their park rules and I am not violating any of their ordinances. As I have sat for hours in this park I don't see any other persons being chased or bothered while they are parked with shades covers on their windows. The few times I did exit my vehicle to walk around the park I was immediately followed. Tourism is big business in Arizona when the collectives start picking and choosing who can visit their parks they will lose money. In the short time I have visited Arizona,I have spent more money than the average local on fuel and food alone.Im wondering why are all these nice parks empty most of the times that I have...
Read moreTumbleweed Park's Playtopia is the bestest playground in all of Phoenix. Although it may be a little out of the way in Chandler, your children will thank you for making the drive. Tumbleweed park is already a rather large green space with a recreational center that boasts a pool, some sports fields, and smack dab in the middle is Playtopia. A playground so big, that it has been partitioned into three themes areas: (1) Farm Land, (2) City Land, (3) and Critter Land. Farm Land is the biggest, and offers your typical brightly colored, metal and plastic play structure geared to the five and older crowd. The best part, Farmland has a giant sun shade. City Land has streets for bikes and scooters, smaller play structures for younger tykes, and single rider vehicles that use a spring for locomotion. In Critter Land, you'll find a massive Gila Monster, a giant shell worth exploring, an archaeological dig, some climbing rocks, and the sand box. So, don't forget those rarely used shovels and buckets. There are also swing sets around Playtopia and pavilions of various sizes open for rent. The bathroom is nearby and there are several parking lots around the park. When you can see the giant sun shade near a parking lot,...
