It's a good place where people can get information about bee habits and butterflies as well. There is a area where you can sit behind glass inside the building to the outside and watch the bees actually do there prep work from the beehive boxes. There's classrooms for different classes they do for college students as well. Have enjoyed a picnic as well in the area in the shelter area.

We had a great time .. this is our 2nd time of spending all day at the Aurb. and still have to come back again .. it would take a week to see everything but then everything changes every season at sometimes days make a huge difference .. we will keep coming back again and again ..

It's a great educational experience for families and kids to see exhibits and videos on the importance of bees as pollinators. The University of Minnesota Arboretum is a diamond for nature lovers and gardeners and hiking the amazing grounds.

My kids and I loved learning about all kinds of pollinators! You can view active honey bee hives that are just outside the building (through glass, so you don’t disturb the hive!) and see bees foraging from the gardens of native plants just outside!
