By far my favorite park to take my dogs for walks. There's a nice playground and amazing walking trails. The trail is not paved and can be a bit steep so it may be difficult for those with mobility issues. My dogs and I LOVE this place. You almost forget you're in town because the nature is so beautiful. There is almost always someone at the park which is nice but it never feels crowded. The bathrooms have always been clean as well. I will offer a note of warning for dog owners: there are frequently large groups of children/families gathering at the park. This is great, however there have been many times I have had children run after me and my dogs and begin playing with them without asking. As someone with a nervous dog, it's very concerning and I've had to physically pick up my dog and walk away before when children wouldn't stop petting/chasing when I asked. You have to walk past the playground to get to the walking trails so be aware of that if you have a dog that is people shy/people aggressive.

A very nice park - tennis courts, baseball fields, soccer fields, playground and trails. We took the longest trail (about 40 min) that was a loop. Not difficult, a little rocky and rooted but manageable. Well traveled and well marked. To start on the longest trail (purple/yellow) - from the trail board near the picnic tables- stand at the trail board, the path can not be seen, but is straight ahead and to the right. It runs along the baseball field and starts out paved, then a narrow entrance begins the purple/yellow trail.

Great location and beautiful setting. The park has fantastic amenities. The soccer fields outstanding, wish well maintained nets and floodlit fields. The baseball fields and nicely situated and and also well maintained. Very cool park for kids with plenty to do. Nice paved walking trails, and tons of available parking even during soccer tournaments. Nice sheltered picnic table areas and clean restrooms. Great spot!

This park has a small network of trails that can be travelled as a loop ... or you can add in some cross trails as well. Trails can be accessed at the edge of the playground or behind the playing fields. The trail can also be accessed via connection with surrounding neighborhood streets in a couple locations. The topography is varied throughout, and the most dramatic is an exposed rock face adjacent to a series of small waterfalls. This section is on a dead-end spur that's accessible from the main (purple) trail. There are great shady places to explore in the ravine and the water flow depends on rainfall. It's like a bit of a secret get away in the middle of...

I went there to have my lunch break. It's a very nice park. There's lots of things for Littles to play on, and teens like them too! Some folks walked through following a walking trail through the woods. A lady was getting her bike off her car to take the tarred trail that makes a miles long(?) loop. I didn't check out the bathrooms, but they're there. Several picnic tables plus a few benches around. The city of Chapel Hill is doing some construction behind the playground. Big open dirt space right now. I haven't researched what's going in,,, hopefully it's Park...
