Chapel Chill — Restaurant in Chapel Hill

I am so glad this new family-owned ice-creamery has opened in our neighborhood! They have really fun flavors. We ordered the ice cream flight because we could not decide among all the delicious flavors. I really like chocolate-based flavors and I am biased towards them. But their lavender lemonade was out of this world. What a great blend of mild lavender with refreshing lemonade flavors. I think this one is my new favorite. I also love they have chapel hill toffee flavor. I am a big fan of chapel hill toffee and I am so glad that it is now available in ice cream. We also tried one of their chocolate flavors and it was really rich and creamy. The fourth one we tried was the banana biscoff which we thought was another great flavor combination. They also takehome pints available. I liked that they have ample indoor and outdoor seating and the store is family friendly. There is also free parking available in a parking lot. I believe the store is also on some Chapel Hill transit routes. They also have summer special flavors like peach which I would like to try next. I really wish they would bring Dubai chocolate flavored ice creams. Since they are already so good at serving delicious experimental flavors, I think they will do a good job with...

Chapel Chill on Weaver Dairy Road is OPEN! We all got delicious ice cream (cookies and cream, strawberry, banana pudding, one with a coffee base…) and then went back for a flight of four more flavors to try. All very delicious, and we are very into ice cream in our home! The young staff were competent and kind, there was seating indoors and a lot of tables outdoors too (perfect for kids who wiggle a lot). Bathroom on premises and water fountain (clutch for an ice cream shop!). Sprinkles are free, other toppings $1 each. Waffle bowls are delicious. Our friends whom we met for ice cream are dairy free and they were able to sample four different flavors, I believe there were six dairy free options (GF waffle bowls too!). Highly recommend! Can’t wait to go back and so glad to have this wonderful shop in Chapel Hill.

Also noted: they offer one scoop token “gift cards” - purchase tokens and they’re good for a scoop! These type of tokens make excellent birthday presents for kids (I’ve seen other ice cream shops who do the same), and I plan to stock up on a bunch the next time we go to have on...

What a gem! This new ice cream shop is exactly what Chapel Hill needed. It’s run by the most adorable family—you'll often see them working together behind the counter with big smiles and a warm welcome for everyone who walks in. The atmosphere is cozy, friendly, and full of good vibes. Plus, they have an outdoor area full of picnic benches which provides a great spot to sit down to sit with your kids/family to enjoy the ice cream!

The ice cream? Absolutely incredible! They’ve got the most creative and delicious flavors (& bonus - they use all natural ingredients)!
