Oh my LORD! Was swinging through town to do some family history research, and these guys are a local history GOLD MINE! So many cool artifacts, documents, clothes, etc. The layout on the property is pretty cool, and the museum itself is wonderfully stocked up on all sorts of interesting things to look at. If you've got any family from this area, I HIGHLY recommend stopping by for a quick look, they may even have something from your family! The staff were super helpful, and showed a lot of amazing pieces, including a quilt made by a relative who is famous for her patterns. They had original letters from other family members, deeds, notes, postcards, and more, some dating back to the early 1800s! It was all beautifully organized and kept safe, so much so we're considering donating some older pieces of our own to them for safekeeping and to share with others. They were also able to point us to a rather hard to find cemetery we were looking for, other genealogical resources in the area, and a few points of interest we had no idea even existed! Their knowledge and generosity of time was a true gift, and we're planning on making the journey back there from Georgia as soon...

The museum was awesome. Those were the words of my husband. He is a big sprint car fan and loved seeing the many different cars that were driven by racers throughout the years. He also enjoyed seeing the pictures and reading about those who made it in the sprint car Hall of Fame. Many things...
