Founders Hall — Attraction in Charleston

We rented this venue for our 150 person wedding on 10/12/24 and it fit our needs perfectly! Beautiful space inside and out! We loved that it feels so secluded amongst all of the trees! While we wished there were two getting ready suites instead of only one, the one was still spacious and beautiful! Plenty of seating along with a little fridge and kitchenette! And the little outdoor patio area off the back is gorgeous! Love that this venue includes tables and chairs with your rental, and we thought it was reasonably priced. Only complaint was that sometimes communication was hit or miss between their different staff members. But that was only minor, not worth taking any stars off their review! You have to remember that these are park employees, not strictly "wedding venue" employees (if that makes sense). All in all we were so happy with how our wedding turned out and would definitely recommend...

We had a 96 person wedding the first weekend of November and we would highly recommend!

1. Communication and planning was very smooth. Morgan was quick to respond and patient will all our questions.
2. Value is great - having an indoor option without having to lock in a tent + utilizing the tables and chairs is a huge cost saving measure.
3. Having the fire pits was a big help for the 60F night we had
4. We were able to utilize both Founders Hall and the other property for photos and it made all our picture dreams come true -highly recommend checking out their IG/tagged IG to really get a sense of what people turn the venue into.

My only recommendation for anyone who books is to have the lawn sprayed for bugs if you attract...

So beautiful here and exactly what I think Charleston woods would have looked like in the 1700's and 1800's... kinda like going back in time. The whole place is very clean, updated, and the event we attended there was nice. Great place for a wedding, or even just a small family gathering at the "Hall"... but so beautiful just to drive through the oak tree wish Spanish moss tunnels. Great place just to explore if you are in Charleston that I've never really seen crowded. Beautiful place to go enjoy a natural example of the "old south" in peace to relax or explore. Can't wait to go back next time I am...
