I love this dog park. Its absolutely massive! There's a huge open field and 3 different small beaches for the dogs. If you have a small dog, use the small dog park to the right of the big one because in the big one's lake there is an alligator. It's a small alligator so bigger dogs in groups should be fine, but a small dog definitely wouldn't be safe. The people who go here are generally respectful, though it is a very popular place so there may be a nutcase or two. If your pup is a bit shy/weird around other dogs bring them during weekday mornings, there's less dogs and the ones that do show up are generally well socialized in my experience. Late afternoons, especially on weekends, are very busy and hectic and I wouldn't come unless your dog is a social butterfly as there are more rude dogs and owners. There are trashcans but bring your own poop bags. Bring a ball in case there aren't many dogs. There's also a hose to rinse off your dog if you need it, and a doggie water fountain though most dogs just drink...

As I have experienced in all dog parks people IGNORE their dogs because their face is in their phones. People don't think their dogs need to be managed if in a controlled area.
I left the park with my dog (a tender 55 lb neutered trained labradoodle) after 2 large "aggressive" dogs were let in the park and bolted for him. The hair was raised and tails were up on these dogs and they were growling...where was their person? Oblivious! She was taking her sweet time walking and texting on her phone! Not a clue to her dogs behaviour. Nothing happened because I didn't stay to give it an opportunity.
People be with your dogs if you are at a dog park!
I'd recommend the park and will be back. I've learned the best way to not have problems is remove yourself from a...
Read moreWe went to the light festival and had a wonderful experience with the grandkids and our baby Beaches.. They had a wonderful assortment of lights. I had to stay with Beaches while the wife and grandkids rode the train cause animals were not allowed on the train. I thought the LG. Handmade cards from the local schools and places were really cool.. the fire pits for making s'mores was a nice touch. The rock wall and the carousel were down that night. We did let each kid do the build-a-bear thing, and it was $20 a bear. Well, we did a dragon and a reindeer..lol.. So that was reasonable.. The entry is per car load.. and it seems high, BUT I don't think it is once you see all the lights and all that's gone into making this event. I believe it is well worth it, and I hope it gets bigger.. May there be some food trucks and craft vendors? 🤔 .. It was really nice for the...
