Ballantyne District Park — Attraction in Charlotte

This is a cool walking trail that is shared as a bike path. It is small enough to walk within an hour but there is a lot to explore. A stream runs through it and you can access it from certain parts of the trail. The park adjoins the nearby YMCA as well as Community House Middle School (you can cut through from one site to the other). It often has few people (at least in the winter) and that always amazed me given where it is located.

I've seen both deer and a hawk here so keep your eye out...
