We have played rugby games with teams from other states at this park. Unfortunately it is not very well maintained because it is in a lower income area. It is unlikely one would feel very safe here either as sketchy and inconsiderate people are constantly walking back and fourth across the fields. What really killed it for me was the last time we played here: some of the locals from the neighborhood decided to film a very distracting rap music video (20 guys in puffy hooded jersey jackets dancing ghetto-show-tunes style) as we were playing a tournament that we reserved the field for. Read moreThis center would be ok but it has the same exact problems that it did when I was a child and my parents tried to bring me here 25 years ago. The playground is too small and way too close to the road. It sits on top of a small hill so if your child has a ball and it rolls down hill it goes right into a major road! The playground setup here needs a serious overhaul (and a fence!).
If you are wanting a playground for your kids 12 and under go elsewhere. Try the Robert Smith park instead that is not too far from here. If you are 14 and up, just looking to play basketball, this might be the place for you. We...
