Blue Barrens Farm — Attraction in Cherryfield

10+ STARS. This is where you MUST buy your BLUEBERRY PIES! INCREDIBLE crust! EXCELLENT pie period! With no pie signs in town, we were fortunate to hear there was a supplier in the area who provided pies to a business. Instead of buying a slice from that establishment, we finally located the farm where the slice originated! We used Google to provide driving directions to the home (that sits in front of blueberry fields). Blueberry seasons starts in August, but our early July frozen $25 blueberry pie (likely made w/ last year's berry crop) was nevertheless WONDERFUL. The friendly woman who greeted us said that her son, a culinary instructor, makes the pies. My friend, who himself is an excellent baker, raved about our pie! All four of us were impressed. Great pies and wild blueberries. We liked the pie so much, we went back and got another, and we’ll get another soon. The wild blueberries were so sweet and full of flavor, I’m not sure if I can go back to the blueberries I get at the supermarket. They are sold in pint, quart and 5lb box.
