8.13.22 My review is only for paddleboarding at this Reservoir. All 4 parking spots closest to the water were taken so had to use big parking lot area, which has porta potties, then walk down. We pumped our inflatable boards at the parking lot. So it was a pain and a little tuff bringing everything that far down to the water. Pulled car up closer later when leaving but place was very busy so couldn't just leave things by road. Wish this was more user friendly for paddle users. Aside from that the water was wonderful. Many water lillies around the Reservoir and not many people out except a few swimmers. It was very quiet and peaceful. Heard a few Hikers on their loop walking but that's it. Free to use for CT residents. And close to by great restaurants and Little House Brewing.

This is a wonderful place for cookouts and swimming although we were here to hike. The trail was well marked and maintained. We enjoyed how peaceful it was with many curious chipmunks. We will definitely come back in the fall to see the foliage!

It has great water to swim, they have a wonderful concrete plank you can do dives and flips from. The park also has a great ranger force who are not only nice but responsible and fair. It is a great place to camp if you are looking for clean nice spaces areas. You must bring tents though. Finally if you want to fish or have a barbecue go there you won't be...
