Fernbrook Farms CSA — Attraction in Chesterfield Township

This is our first year participating in Fernbrook's CSA after many years of considering it. We are enjoying it so much and wish we had joined sooner! We have a really nice morning at the farm when we go, picking up our produce, picking fruits, veggies, herbs, and flowers, and feeding the pigs. The food is amazing and the variety is great. We have so much fun finding new ways to use the produce that we get each week. It really challenges us to eat a variety of foods that we otherwise wouldn't think to buy at the store. They've done a really good job managing all of the safety regulations with Covid, which can't be easy and I'm sure changes the experience a bit. I can't say enough good things about Fernbrook and only wish we lived closer! While the 25 minute drive isn't awful, it does sometimes deter us from signing up for things and will likely keep us from the CSA next year (along with our continued food waste). I do wish there was a way to learn more about using and storing the foods offered by the CSA but, imagine that would entail a good bit of work on their part and know Jeff and his crew to be quite busy already!

A beautiful farm with beautiful, kind and informed Farmers and employees making it an outstanding CSA. As a family we enjoy so much more than the abundance of weekly fresh vegetables.
