Kovler Lion House and Pepper Family Wildlife Center — Attraction in Chicago

Newly reopened, the lion house is a fantastic reimagination of the environment that provides sanctuary for the lions, and incredible vantage points for visitors. Outside, there are several large glass and fenced viewing areas, while the inside is spacious with multiple additional viewing areas, including a lower ramp level with a new conference room that has a full glass wall. It was well worth the wait for the new construction that brings people closer to the animals, but also provides them with space away from distractions of they want it. Today was our first visit back since CV19 and the remodel - wow, what a difference! I used to live across the street from LP Zoo and we loved listening to the big cats at night but their enclosure (which seemed fine at the time) was so much smaller than the upgrade! There's much more space for the cats to move around when they want and there are huge observation...

The Lion House is always a stop while visiting the Lincoln Park Zoo. I have been coming to the zoo since I was a little kid and that's a number of decades. The building design has changed a lot over the years.
