Chickamauga Coke Ovens — Attraction in Chickamauga

It's just really super interesting!! See what our ancestors done! I have been in alot on Sand Mtn that hasn't been touched or messed with just somewhat protected & watched over by us the ppl that grew up lived around them !! There really awesome cool very hard to get to but definitely worth the effort. But to see etchings on the walls relics of time passed !! So much history been destroyed in building yes alot has been saved or preserved but so much lost that was just swept...

The Coke ovens at chickamauga were very interesting the tablets there tell the history of the ovens and of the railroad line that supplied the call they use the ovens to burn the cold down in the air free environment and it burn all the impurities out of the colon which made the product called Coke . The steel industry use the coke because it burned hotter and more evenly...

Its a great family place !!! And the only reason i gave it only 3 stars is because it looked like they were working on it and the little water fall was gone and we couldnt see any crawdads .. But it is a awesome place to go to learn about the older days and the pictures there are great!!!! And somebody could clean the small caves out and people could stop being...
