My sister came in on Monday to be informed of height requirements, cost and time the business is open. It was suggested that we come the next day as they have specials on Tuesdays. We informed staff member that we would be celebrating my nephews 8th birthday. We were told they close at 10 pm. We show up at 8 pm only to be told they were shutting down the smaller track as it generates too much hot and the building gets to hot inside. Wish we would have been told this night before. SoâŚwe show up again Wednesday at 6:30. Only to be told that a big party was registering and would be using the track for the next 1.5 hours. Since we were only doing one race. Typically lasting 8-10 minutes per staff. We asked if we can go ahead as we were checked in and register. The big party was not and this is a lengthy process for a groups of 13. We waited 1.5 hours. We noticed the big group was finally done. Turns out they were only waiting for the cars to charge again. The charging would take 20 minutes and they had 2 more taxes. We were told we would need to wait another hour or so. We waited as the kids really wants to ride. When the big party was finally done. We were not called over the speaker phone. We realized they were shutting down the small track again. We inquired and were told that the staff member at the front desk never scheduled us. The kids eventually got on the cars and enjoyed their time. The service and lack of information was not a good experience. Young kids who donât take their jobs serious...
Read moreWe recently chose K1 Speed for a birthday celebration, marking our first experience with them. The staff's friendliness was a highlight. However, we encountered significant issues with time management and the condition of the karts. One child in our group experienced a notable delay, waiting 20 minutes for a junior Kart, disrupting the flow of our event. Moreover, the karts were in poor condition, leading to headaches and nausea among the kids, which marred their enjoyment.
The venue's strict policy against outside food posed further challenges, as their in-house offerings were subpar. The food, especially the pizza, was overly greasy and excessively cheesy. Furthermore, the size of the large pizza was disappointing, consisting of only eight slices. Beverage options were another downside, with exorbitantly priced drinks and a notable absence of complimentary water, despite being prohibited from bringing our own beverages.
The culmination of these issues was felt keenly at the end of the event. The earlier delay for the junior Kart user was not compensated for, and our group was rushed, being allocated only 30 minutes to conclude our meal and vacate the premises. This rushed atmosphere, coupled with back-to-back bookings, suggested a prioritization of profit over quality experience.
Considering the overall experience, including the disappointing condition of the karts and the significant cost involved, I am disinclined to recommend K1 Speed for...
Read moreWe went as a group of 12 for 2 birthdays and had a private room to eat in after our 3 races. All in all it was a great experience that we will definitely do again. My 2 complaints that took a star: During our 2nd race, one car stopped working. Held up the race several minutes, everyone was at a complete stop while they swapped out the dead car, then a second car wouldn't start after the 1st car was swapped out, so we had to wait longer for the 2nd car to be swapped out. Issues happen, we understood, but I think that race shouldâve been started over, instead they continued after everyone was at a dead stop for over 10 minutes. Second complaint was our food delivery. We were set up for pizza and wings in the Fontana Room after our last race. We made sure the kitchen knew we were ready for our food, and the pizza arrived in the room over 45 minutes after our race and the wings arrived 30 minutes after the pizza, after several requests. We were told we would get a credit for the trouble, but havenât seen it yet. The food was good but coordination was poor. Again, we would go again, it was a great time. Our group ranged in age from 12 to 60 , they split our races into 2 groups of 6 which was great, 12 on the track would be too many. After our races, they held a podium ceremony for each of our 2 groups and gave out medals for 1st 2nd and 3rd and medals to the...
