Stater Bros. Markets — Attraction in Chino Hills

Scam!!!! I’m only a black man who was tryna make a living for myself and my family!!! I only worked here for 2 and a half months as a courtesy clerk, did amazing… took on other coworkers’ shift once even worked a full week without any off days tryna help people out…. I was the most organized courtesy clerk there. I was even called on my ONLY OFF DAY to work at a different Stater Bros to help them in need of another courtesy clerk. I was their best worker. Never late, never any call off days, always followed directions. 1 day I get called to the office by Randy and was told that there was something wrong with my union and that I have to be let go and that I can reapply within the next 6 months, weirdly they paid me in cash, sent me on my way…. That day I didn’t know I would be left without a job for no exact reason!! The next day I reapplied and called to try to get back into working with them. Keep in mind that I had NEVER had a chance to speak to the general manager (Tony). Former manager who’s name is TONY avoided my calls, never called back, never updated me on my application that I had reapplied on. My mother ended up calling the job only to be told that I was a TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE (I was never notified about that before I applied to this job I was NEVER even notified about being a TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE during my interview because I never applied to the job to be a TEMPORARY EMPLOYEE!!! I applied to be a PERMANENT EMPLOYEE!! ) Tony couldn’t even give us a good enough reason as to why I was dropped as an employee there after all the hard work and dedication I put into this job! I was cheated/bamboozeled out of a job for no exact reason and recently I tried to apply here again in which I was denied immediately a day later!!! This store SCREWED ME OVER out of a job for no reason!!! DO NOT APPLY HERE OR WORK HERE CUZ THIS JOB WILL SCREW U OVER OUT OF A JOB IN A QUICK SECOND AND WILL LEAVE U JOBLESS!!! AND PLEASE!!!! DO NOT SHOP HERE EVER AGAIN!!! THESE PEOPLE ARE BAD...

I have been coming to the stater brothers for years it’s down the street from my house and typically my experience is like any other grocery store nothing special I’m in and I’m out but today I had two items all of the lines were long so I chose lane 4 waited in line and as I’m about to be next some boy comes up to me ropes it off right in front of me and says he can take me in Lane one. I wasn’t really paying attention so I start to go thinking I’m going to a lane with no line and he directed me to a lane with a longer line so I had to wait behind another 3- 4 people! I don’t know how they decide to pick and choose but clearly the staff lacks common sense because in what world would you make someone who’s already waitEd in line go to another line to wait in a longer line! Even once they realized their error nobody was trying to accommodate and ring me up in another isle. I have my own opinions about why I was not accommodated after their error or why they chose to do it to me in the first place but I will say the woman in front of me looked like them and they chose not to cut the line off with her but I’m going to leave it at the facts that Both female cashiers and male associate lack...

I nearly always have a wonderful experience at the Stater Bros. markets I visit. Very friendly and helpful staff, and efficient lines. Today they went above and beyond. There was a mismarked item in the meat case, and the manager gave it to me for the listed price, which was much cheaper than what the price was supposed to be. The fact that they honored the listed price because that’s what I had expected to pay was impressive. When I went back to get the meat, I left my other groceries and bag of ice sitting in my cart, and when I returned with the meat, I learned they had switched out the ice with a fresh one to make sure mine hadn’t melted at all.
