This popular dog park has two sections: one for big dogs and one for smaller dogs. While not all owners adhere to the rules (which are based on weight limits), it is usually a very calm and friendly place. You'll eventually encounter the neglecting owner who spends their time on the phone, never so much as glancing at their pooch. Overall the people here are engaged and pick up after their pets. I have no complaints about the animals, only the occasional negligent owner. The location is well maintained with emphasis on sustainability (they have weekly maintenance and seasonal closures to reseed and germinate new grass). Read moreI come to this park almost every day while I visit my Parents but currently They closed the park for the big dogs because they said that they were gonna do some renovations.But nothing has been worked on and there's no renovation going on right now.So I don't know why they took the time to close the park when there could be dogs playing there. Why would you ask to renovate a part for a month when you're gonna actually just take about a week or two. Read moreToday I went to the park and there were a lot of dogs and people inside but the gates were locked. As I approached an Asian women told me to lift my dog over the gates and she helped and said it was locked on accident which often happens.
The police came and told everyone to leave. I decided to walk around the outside of the park. An Asian woman with a purple 3 in mark covering her left eye started following me and taking pictures of me.
I felt very uneasy and very unsafe. Would reconsider this...
