I stopped by Nagelkirk Gardens looking for ideas for my hunting camp—specifically wildlife-friendly trees and shrubs like dogwoods, elderberries, crabapples, oaks, apples, and pears. While I didn’t go into the main shop up front, I explored their large greenhouse area and the even bigger outdoor garden center. Everything was tidy and well-kept—no knocked-over pots or messy areas like you sometimes find at other places. The best part of the visit was the customer service. One of the staff members took a lot of time with me, answering a bunch of off-the-wall questions I had about planting and growing for wildlife. Even when she wasn’t sure about the animal side of things, she gave great answers on plant care, growth, fruiting timelines, and where and when to plant things. Super friendly, very knowledgeable, and didn’t make me feel rushed at all. Most of what they had was potted plants—not really seeds or bare-root stock—but the variety was impressive, and everything looked healthy. If you’re planning a residential garden, landscaping project, or just want to walk through and ask questions, it’s absolutely worth the stop. Great people and a really well-maintained place.

We had our wedding at Nagelkirk Gardens in July 2021, and the staff (Jaime and Sam) were AMAZING to work with! They were very responsive any time I had questions. The venue grounds with the landscaping was beautiful; we got so many compliments on the space. In addition, we worked with Kathryn for floral and it was perfect as well. I shared some pinterest photos of what I was thinking and she really made my vision come true! Photos by Marie Kelsey Photography out of Marquette, MI.

For anyone who Loves discovering new and Beautiful plants to ad to your Garden, this is the place to go! Theresa White is the creative genius behind the many awesome hanging & potted flowering plants at Nagilkirks. Everyone there was pleasant & fun to talk with.

I enjoyed my experience last year for my first visit to Nagelkirk's. I would like to correct the previous review. I asked if they grow their own plants and they do grow their perenials but bring in annuals from a specific grower downstate that they contract for quality plants. The work force seemed eager to please. The Asst. Mgr came over to welcome us and showed us the various artist items in their gift shop area. She explained the new owners want to encourage local artist by selling their items. I felt they had a heart for the community! We will definitely be coming back this year! (and we are from...

Neither peiple in the landscaping area, with whom I'd had one nice meeting, nor the lawncare people will return phone calls. We had a landscape plan almost ready to go but Dave won't call me back to finalize the plan. Meanwhile days in summer are marching on. Lack or any response at all is highly unprofessional and trying to work with these people seems to be an exwrcisw in frustration and a total waste of time and effort. Some in my neighborhood were also interested in working woth this group but have been really put off by...
