The Holland Land Office building is located on West Main Street in downtown Batavia, New York, United States. It is a stone building designed by surveyor Joseph Ellicott and erected in the 1810s. It was the third and last office of the Holland Land Company, which owned almost all of what is today Western New York.

I had been wanting to go to this place for a long time, and after having driven past it for many years, in 2017 I finally found enough time to spend their and every moment didn't seem enough. I'm a huge Civil War buff and was so happy to see so many items and antiques. I thought one of the coolest things there was a West Point jacket from Emory Upton who devised and led an assault at Spotsylvania at the mule shoe. There was a lot of local history within the place and very informative Native American items and cultural information. If you live around that area I highly recommend you take some time and go spend it there. I brought a date and she had a great time even though she's not a big history buff like I am. Plus, how cool is it that the Holland land office is still around?
