Def worth the stop. Not only is it massive and alluring in its architectural design it is sadly an underrated piece of American history and only one you can currently see from outside. I was born and raised in Cortland and never heard of it until I saw it peaking above the trees in a hilltop and decided to ride to it (bike ride). To think the 1st in the nation hospital built to treat alcoholism as a mental disorder was in Binghamton ny and in 1864!🤔🤯

Sadly, people have tried to make this into a place where ghosts are common. It is nonsense. I worked in that building for years and all shifts with critical care and death and dieing patients. I wrapped many bodies for the morgue. If ANYONE was to see a ghost, it would probably be me or my staff. It...

My grandmother was in this hospital years ago. In and out. Had alot of problems. I know that way back, they were treated inhumane. Makes me sick. If people understood mental illness they would know they are quite intelligent actually. Quit making this out to be a ghost story. I pray their...
