THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!! I stumbled upon it by accident when leaving the Utica Zoo, and I am NOT dissapointed I did. I was shocked that admission was FREE, and the amount of things they have inside was insane! If you want interactive, then this is the place to go! You can fly drones, sort renewable and non-renewable energy, take quizzes for reward badges, put out electrical fires, and learn about Tesla & Edison all interactively in one place! For children who love technology, this is the place for them! It Is incredibly high tech, and the lighting was relaxing and yet exciting all at the same time. I really appreciated the help of all the staff who remain throughout the building available to assist the kids with any questions, or interactive issues they maybe having. I LOVED that they had white chemist/scientist coats available for the kids to wear, and after turning in their power pass they were able to keep their lanyards. They had an area designated with pamphlets full of information and their future upcoming events. They also had crayons, pencils, construction type plastic hats, and activity books FREE for the kids to take home. I HIGHLY recommend a visit!! 10/10!!

Phenomenal new attraction in Utica that's perfect for any age. It's open 7 days a week and FREE to visit (and also located right next to the Utica Zoo!). You will have the chance to learn all about New York's history with power and energy, where the state is presently and what the future looks like. Super interactive and hands-on... like learning how to build grids and what it's like to work on powerlines. Add this spot to your list of where to visit with the kids, friends or anyone!

Such a cool little interactive museum! Great place to learn about NY’s energy journey - something for all ages. There are interactive exhibits, games to play, and tons of educational content - I especially liked the focus towards the end on renewables and job prospects for young people getting into the working world. I left feeling inspired and had some good fun! Would definitely recommend.

My child and I recently visited NY Energy Zone in Utica, and we had an amazing experience. Best of all, admission is free! My child was curious about everything, and this place was perfect for him. He didn't want to leave!

The staff at NY Energy Zone were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They took the time to explain all the activities and exhibits to us, and they answered all of our questions. My child was thrilled to learn about energy and conservation in a fun and interactive way, and I was impressed by the depth and scope of the exhibits.

The exhibits and activities were engaging and thought-provoking. My child was able to learn about the different types of energy, how energy is created, and the ways in which we can conserve energy in our daily lives. The interactive exhibits allowed him to explore the concepts and apply them in practical ways, which made the experience even more fun and educational.

Overall, I highly recommend NY Energy Zone to anyone looking for an educational and entertaining experience in Utica. And the best part is, it's completely free! It's a great place for families, especially those with curious children who are eager to learn. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the exhibits are engaging and thought-provoking. My child and I had an amazing time, and we'll definitely be back. Don't miss out on this unique and exciting...

People at front desk were terrible...yell to you to come to the desk. ..was deciding if we were going to the show and part of the family was using the bathroom. 2 girls about 18 came in and went toward the bathroom..he yelled in a rude manner that they can't just come in there and use the bathroom. The girls froze not sure what to do. For someone to speak In that manner was very upsetting. So Im Sure he was annoyed we used it but w less rude about it because we were adults. He definitely was ruder to them because he thought he could. We then got up and left. Decided against going because of him. Just a shame he's the...
