Dollar General — Attraction in Claremore

To those who were friendly thank you. I had a huge problem with the manager. There is not supposed to be a limited number of the same product being purchased in which they do. I help elderly people, schools, homeless shelters handicap and abused women as much as I can. Churches just by simple donations with this virus has started several people cannot get out to purchase items.so with the limit I went back every other day sometimes everyday then skip a week. I was also purchasing other items. I called the home office on se real accounts and they said there is no limit on items. As one day I was in there with my cart filled with toothbrushes and other Hygiene products so all what nots. Blankets and cleaning products. I finally was fed up with this rule I was following and....ask to speak to the manager and then that was it! She was apparently ready to rip into me because she went off as soon as I had said home office said no limits. It wasn’t pretty all in all I guess she expects these people I’m trying help are supposed to purchase there own products such as the elderly that are staying in, homeless because you know they are able to do so helping school staffs that have limited time of getting out. I can go on why a donate but I apparently to her it’s the wrong thing to do. I’ve become a recent widow and me and husband did donations where it was needed and I promised I would continue. The other 2 stores are wonderful and well worth going out of my to visit them- more organized, much friendlier and...

Witnessed a cashier telling an elderly man to "do it yourself" when the man asked the cashier to double bag his 2-liter bottles of soda.... because he's "not a servant to anyone" . And the girl claiming to be the manager did absolutely nothing about how the cashier was treating this man. This store was already horrible in my opinion. It's always a mess, nothing is stocked despite having full boxes everywhere, half the freezer section is out of order, aisles are blocked off with uboats displaying signs that say aisle closed do not move cart, and customer service that is worse than awful. I'm a former dollar general employee and there is no way that any of this would have ever been acceptable at the store where I worked. In fact, I've never seen another dollar general store this bad. I like Dollar general period. I like that they have a relatively decent selection of things you may need day-to-day. I like how much faster it is going to Dollar general than it would be going to Walmart or Target or anywhere like that and I like how much cheaper it is when compared to like say CVS or Walgreens. Unfortunately as of late the Dollar general's in town in Claremore have seemingly been critically understaffed to the point where they're unable to maintain consistent operating hours, .properly stock there product or even maintain their products availability. Dollar general however has somehow managed to weather that storm. It is open when it's supposed to be as long as it's supposed to be. And their shelves are full of product. I am impressed...
