First, there was a miscommunication on touring the place. I made a call to schedule a tour. The lady over the phone specifically said, “1:00pm OR whenever you can get here”. So I thought if we showed up a little after one, we could still fit in a tour, apparently not. I guess she wanted us there at exactly 1:00pm but she didn’t specify that over the phone or tell us the tour would be canceled, if we were late. We get there to find out that she canceled the tour (she made someone else explain for her instead of coming to speak with us herself). Oh well. I’ll take that as my mistake. Second, we had a very awkward wine tasting session. We were hoping to learn more about the wines but instead, they just poured our tastings, walked to the back of the bar, and stared at us until we finished each round. One younger staff member was on her phone in front of us at the bar. The woman helping us turned her back to us several times having side conversations with other employees instead of us. Very uncomfortable and not welcoming experience all around. We should’ve just left after the tasting but tried to make the most of the visit afterward since we are new to the area. Not a place we would recommend, if the weather is bad or you’re a person that needs a place to sit. No seating available unless you’re outside. We were fine with standing for a bit but definitely got crowded quickly. The wines were okay, nothing really impressive to me. I’ll just look for another wine...

If I could give 0 stars I would. My fiance and I drove up to this facility from another city, 3 hours away for our anniversary. We were so excited to go. Once we arrived, everyone inside ignored us even though they weren't busy. I had called before and was told we could book a tour when we arrived (even though it says something different on the website ). When we arrived we tried to book a tour and one person (the one person who was lovely) said yes, but then looked at her boss (while the boss shook her head no). The nice person said no, per the boss' head shake. I was then told we could book for tomorrow. We regrouped in the car and I called and asked to book a tour for the following day, and got an immediate no, followed by there is no availability. Since I was in the driveway, I walked back in and asked again. I spoke to the nice person and when she opened her planner used to plan tours there was not a single tour booked for the following day. Not a single one. Nothing was written down, so how could there be no availability? Make it make sense. I don't know if it was because I'm African American, because I'm a minority, or because I'm am in an interracial relationship; whatever the case was I was unfairly discriminated against and denied entry and access which is to my knowledge a Federal violation. We will never go here again, just wanted to share our experience. I wonder how many others have...

Earlier this week, I got a job to photoshoot a family after their courthouse wedding on Friday. Living an hour a way, I wasn’t familiar with the vineyards but it was recommended. I called and talked to a young lady that said we were more than welcome to do the shoot there.

I got there early and had a wine tasting (yummy Chardonnay and Rose’) while I waited on my clients. I had been told there were just a few family members and their children coming along with the couple. About 20 adults came and we sort of took over the place. If the staff got frustrated, I didn’t see it for one second. I know my client and his group ordered a lot of wine so I am hoping that the sales were pleasing for the owners that afternoon.

They had food samples out at the tasting bar and there were a lot of things in the gift shop that look very appealing to a shopper like me. This place is a real gem hidden in the middle of an industrial area off the interstate. Their grapes were getting ready to be harvested so it looks like August is a good time to go see them at their largest size. We were told to go anywhere we wanted just don’t touch the grapes as they were getting ready to be picked!

If I’m in the area again, I will definitely go back. Looks like they have music and food trucks from time to time too. May be a wonderful day trip this Fall! Go visit them now and tell...

A beautiful vineyard. Everyone was nice. There was an outside concert and a few vending trucks. The wine slushies were the best. The wine tasting was my favorite.

Beachaven Vineyard & Winery is always a wonderful spot, but I have to say the Music on the Lawn event I attended recently was on a whole different level — because of JAY AMMO. The wine was great, the atmosphere was gorgeous, and everyone was having fun, but Jay absolutely made the night. His talent is unreal! He had everyone staying way longer than we planned because we didn’t want the music to stop. Please, please bring Jay Ammo back as often as possible! He’s the kind of performer that turns a good night into an unforgettable one, and he brings so much energy and joy to the event. I will absolutely be watching your event schedule and returning whenever he's performing. If you see his name on the lineup — GO.
