After my go to place closed down, I was on the hunt for a new pizza joint that offers dairy free (vegan) cheese and found Caprigios. I was a bit reluctant because we haven’t had much luck finding places we really like and Caprigio’s is on the other side of town for us however, we now found our new go to! Myself, my husband and a friend visited last Friday for some pizza. I got a small personal supreme with vegan cheese for my dairy allergy and the guys got a large supreme with regular cheese and some garlic knots. Ok! My pizza was so good that I thought they mistakingly used regular cheese at first, it was that yummy! If you’ve ever eaten dairy free cheese, you’ll understand. The sauce on their pizza is ahhhh-mazing! Soooo good, so fresh with lots and lots of goodies on top. The crust was cooked to perfection and the knots were delish. The owners personally came over to our table to ask how everything was and introduce themselves and from there, we immediately felt like friends! We loved the food so much that my husband purchased the lasagna for himself to try later and could not stop raving about how delicious it was. My husband is a ridiculously, almost annoying picky eater and he loved every bite of everything he tried. If you haven’t tried Caprigio’s yet, you must! Once you taste their food and experience the friendliness of this family owned restaurant, you’ll become regulars too. Can’t wait to go back and try their schnitzel. Oh yes, the owner/chef who is part Italian and part German is also putting out some German dishes too! It’s like we died and went to food heaven. See ya soon Carlos and...
Read moreFamily of 4, 9 & 11 yo boys, ordered large cheese pizza for them a small chicken bacon ranch and buffalo pizza, Italian sandwich and cheese bread. We happened upon the place via google while we were looking for a pizza place for the boys. This had the highest rating of all the ones closest to the hotel. When we entered the restaurant we were immediately extra excited because everything smelled so good. We were a little disappointed when they didn’t have the meatball sandwich or Italian beef- however- the regular Italian was my husband’s pick so it wasn’t the end of the world. We arrived about 530 on a Friday and they weren’t too busy but with in 5 minutes of making the order it seemed slammed. The ladies in the kitchen did a good job getting our order right and the owner/manager stopped by to say hi. Drinks are via a soda fountain or a little reach in cooler with bottled drinks and some alcoholic beverages like beer or truly. Bathroom seemed well kept. My boys said they loved the pizza and the one is pretty picky, he made sure to point out he liked the crust enough he ate that too! They even liked the bread sticks. The Buffalo pizza was my favorite, however the bacon chicken ranch is nothing to scoff at either. The Italian sandwich was served with a buttery Italian dressing and marinara to dip in. The bread was garlicky buttery goodness with a nice outer crisp and juicy inside. Overall did it disappoint would definitely eat there again, I would recommend eating there for a fresh...
Read moreWe've heard good things about this place and thought we would give it a try. This was on Saturday, October 8 @ 4pm.... (my husband and I) we walked in to order carryout which was simple enough. The cashier was nice, and seemed to be knowledgeable and helpful. We ordered a large meat lovers, large Hawaiian, an order of BBQ wings and tiramisu to go. The price was OK (@ $70 total) Ultimately, the pizza was not what we expected. The meat lovers was very minimal on toppings, and we honestly couldn't figure out what the meats were due to the pieces almost being in a pulverized state. No true texture, along with the crust being almost paper thin. The Hawaiian pizza was OK, but like the other pizza the crust was way too thin. The wings tasted good but smothered in sauce. The tiramisu was OK as well. I doubt we will order again, can't say we didn't give it a shot though. It is what it is. We did not take pictures of the food nor did we reach out to the restaraunt. We actually threw away over half of each pizza ordered. I do however consider myself to be fairly well "versed" in good food etc. I have a culinary degree as well as over 25+ years cooking experience in numerous types of food backgrounds. ie. German, Mexican, Jamaican, AUTHENTIC Italian etc. Maybe they had an off day.... who knows. This was my review on our...
